Protect the King
Pre Production:
The premise of the game was to have the typical tower defence genre but with the twist of having it be played out with the "ruling" of chess, giving the game a unique feeling. The idea was also to have the game draw in the player base of the avarage tower defence stratagists but also peak the interest of chess players in order to make them try out new game experiances.
In this project we were given three mendatory Game Design Pillars and two of our own choice. The three mandatory were:
1. Easy to learm but hard to master.
2. Replayability.
3. Good controls.
